He was born to the late Nois and Conover Cardwell.
Mr. Cardwell was also preceded in passing by his wife of 50 years, Diana Cardwell, two beloved cats; Oreo and Callie and two beloved dogs; Allie and Sheila.
David retired from Ford Motor Company as a repairman. He always enjoyed riding motorcycles and tinkering on vehicles. Mr. and Mrs. Cardwell loved to travel together as well as spending time with their family. He was also an animal lover and supported the Kentucky Humane Society.
David is survived by his children; Theresa Deem, Scott Cardwell, and Robert Cardwell, grand children Stacy Deem Barmore (Ben), Zachary Deem, Nicholas Deem, Bobby Cardwell, Joshua Cardwell, and Elizabeth Williams.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 26 from 4- 8 PM, and on Friday, August 26 from 10 to 12 PM. A celebration of Mr. Cardwell’s life will begin at 12 PM on Friday, at Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home.
