He was born on March 23,1952, and graduated from Eastern High School. He attended both the University of Louisville and Bellarmine University and received a bachelor's degree in accounting.
Daniel was an active member of the Kosair Shrine and a Mason. He belonged to the Scottish Rite, York Rite and Okolona Lodge. He served for many years as a Kosair Funster Clown and received the Childrens Choice award for his clowning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Franklin Anderson and Doris Jane Anderson; as well as a brother-in-law, Victor Dye.
He is survived by his wife Janet "Jil" Walker Anderson; and his sister, Kym Anderson Dye.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon to service time at the funeral home
