Crystal Campbell, a beacon of kindness and joy, passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 61. Born on October 4, 1963, in Louisville, she was a cherished figure whose warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. Crystal's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Viola and Johnnie Murray, Maxine and Verturm Davis; and her caring in-laws, AJ and Betty Campbell. Crystal's legacy is carried forward by her devoted husband, James Campbell, and her loving children, Emily Campbell, James Lee Campbell with his wife Jodie, and Justin Campbell with his wife Caren. Her father, Roy Davis, and mother, Bonnie Davis, remember her as the light of their lives, while her brother, Mark Davis, with his wife Kim, cherishes the memories they shared. Crystal's spirit will live on through her nine adoring grandchildren and two cherished nephews.
Crystal's passions were as vibrant and varied as her personality. A loyal fan of the U of L games, she could often be found cheering on her favorite team with spirited enthusiasm. Crystal's love for gardening was evident in the beautiful blooms that graced her home each season. She found joy on the water, boat riding with her family, and relished the challenge of target shooting, where she was known for her impressive aim and was always the winner.
Crystal's friends and family would describe her as loving, kind, and friendly, words that only begin to capture the full depth of her character. Her generous spirit and infectious laughter brought comfort and happiness to all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
As we bid farewell to Crystal Campbell, we celebrate a life lived with abundant love and unyielding friendship. Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her memory will be treasured in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Crystal's life story is one of unwavering love, and the impact of her gentle soul will be felt for generations to come. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A visitation for Crystal will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, Louisville, Kentucky, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
