Clyde was born on June 4, 1917 in Lansing, TN to the late Milton and Gussie Caddell. While enlisted in the U.S. Army; he served our country during WWII, where he received a Bronze Star. Clyde retired from the VA, and was a former member of St. Paul Methodist Church.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Caddell; two sisters and one brother. Here to carry on his memory are his daughters, Gail Pluckebaum (Dennis) and Carol Ambrose (Norman); five grandchildren, Chris Ambrose (Gail), Todd Ambrose, Leslie Osting (Larry), Teresa Pluckebaum and Denise Crain (Cabe); along with six great grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Jefferson Place for all their care, and support given to them and Clyde.
There will be private services held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Honor Flight Bluegrass, PO Box 991364, Louisville, KY 40269.
