A note for my
One in a Million Love

Today we lost a precious part of our hearts.  After 8 years of fighting this demon we call cancer the lord has called the love of my life home.
From the start Chris was an inspiration to us all.  He faced this battle head on with faith and determination that he would beat this.  He always put on a brave face for all that surrounded him and fought like hell, believing against all odds he would win.  
For 27 years he has been my rock, my best friend and the most amazing father a woman could want for their children.  Megan, Casey and CJ could always count on their Dad to rally in their corner.  He was always there to cheer them on, teach them and when necessary fight for them.  He was never one to quit until there was a resolution.  
I'm going to miss his smile and the way he could always make me laugh. I think that is what drew me to him in the beginning, his sense of humor. That's something that was never lost even in the toughest of times.  If nothing else, we could laugh. 
My mind and thoughts are scattered but I know you are in a better place my love where there is no pain and you are at peace.

Chris , you truly will be missed. You brought so much laughter to the world. I will miss so many things about you. How you loved to pull pranks, bantering back and forth, playing corn hole, and how much of a fan you were of 
U of L . I have so many memories and will never forget them. I can hear you saying so many things in my head and can visualize how you would say it. It's just like Sharon had said, you made an impact on so many people. Your memory will forever live on.

Chris, rest in peace my friend.  We had so many childhood antics from being chased down the hall by Cujo and having to climb out your window to all the good times we had.  I will miss you.  My prayers are with you, Sharon, and the kids.  Until we meet again.
