He was born on January 24, 1935 in the Ceclia community of Hardin County, Kentucky to parents, James Monroe Hocker Warner & Ruth Ray. Charles retired from Pillsbury / General Mills after 35 plus years. During his time at Pillsbury, he worked in production & packaging but spent most of his time as a Forklift Operator. He was former member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church and was a current member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Charles was an avid NASCAR Fan. Early in his life, he had his own racecar with a close friend, racing on occasion at the Powell Valley Race Way. He also loved playing chess.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, the late Bonnie Lou Emmett; daughter, Theresa Lynn Blevins; parents, James & Ruth Warner; grandson, Louis Charles Messex; and brother, James Monroe Warner, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughters, Donna (Louis) Messex, Deborah (Mark) Bowman; 6 – grandchildren, Heather Simmons, Jason (Allison) Bowman, Joshua (Angela) Bowman, Leslie Blevins, Gabriel (Brandy) Blevins, Katlin (Adam) Kegley; 9 – great grandchildren; sister – in – law, Sharon (“Junie”) Clark; special niece, Lori Phillips; special nephew, Nathan Clark; plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the King Solomon Mausoleums of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and then again on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
