He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Howard and Estelle Boston on December 28, 1939.
Charles married the love of his life Phyllis on October 17, 1959 and spent 63 and a half wonderful years married together, raising a family, being involved with friends and the community, and traveling throughout the United States, Mexico, and Caribbean.
After being medically discharged from the US Army, Charles retired from the Louisville Water Company in 1993 after 30 years of service. He was a prolific painter, actor, singer, and passionate hunter and fisherman. A 62 year member of Robinson-Plumb Masonic Lodge #266, he was also a member of the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, and Kosair Shrine.
Preceding Charles in death are his parents Howard M. Boston and Estelle F. Boston (Caple), and his big brother Edward G. Boston.
Charles is survived by his wife Phyllis Ann Boston (Goodman); son Charles H Boston Jr. and his wife Rebecca Lynn Boston (Brainer); daughter Patricia Ann Boston; and grandchildren Emily Nicole Boston, Charles Andrew Boston, Sabrina Rose Samora, and Elizabeth Sophia Samora.
A visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on Tuesday July 25, 2023 from 3PM-8PM. A Masonic Service will be given at 7:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel the following day on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at 12PM. Charles will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
A reception will be held at the home of Charlie and Becky Boston following the Service on Wednesday July 26, 2023. 10109 Westwego Place, Louisville, KY, 40299. All are welcome.
