Bruce Farris, 66, formerly of Louisville, passed away in his home in Shelbyville, KY, unexpectedly on June 7, 2024. He was the son of the late Dossie and Margaret Farris.
Former Correctional Officer for Orange County Government in Florida, Bruce retired back home to Kentucky in the Fall of 2013. In retirement, Bruce loved woodworking, traveling and playing golf with his friends.
Bruce is survived by Jan - his wife of 45 years, his children Steve Farris and Rachel Ammerman (Jake), and grandson Elliot. He is also survived by his siter Beverly Tapp (Gary), 4 nieces and nephews and their spouses and children.
He truly loved his family and will be deeply missed.
Family and friends will be received at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home – Resthaven on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 4pm-8pm. Funeral service will be at Resthaven on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1:30pm with burial following at Cave Hill Cemetery.
