She was born November 22, 1940 in Louisville, the daughter of Edwin and Frances Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, James Mallory Simpson, a newborn sister, Virginia Karlene Simpson and a brother, E. Graham Simpson.
Bonnie Dee graduated from Tacoma General Hospital School of Nursing in 1963 and also The University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She worked for a total of 36 years as a Registered Nurse, with the last 28.5 years at Baptist East in Labor and Delivery.
Bonnie was a longtime member of St. Matthews Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the sanctuary choir and the senior choir, Joyful Sounds. She enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and took several cruises with her sister and friends.
She is survived by her identical twin sister, Frances Lee Simpson; two nieces, Frances Hays (Randy) and Sherrille Reed (Robert); 4 great-nephews, 2 great-nieces; 1 great-great-niece and 2 great-great-nephews.

A service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
