It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bonnie Holloway, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She departed this world on Monday, May 29, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with her health. Her unwavering love, selflessness, and endless support will forever remain in our hearts.
Born on September 12, 1961, Bonnie was a shining beacon of light, radiating love and kindness to all those fortunate enough to know her. She lived a life dedicated to serving others and embodied the true meaning of compassion. Her hardworking nature, combined with her innate ability to give selflessly, touched the lives of countless individuals, especially her children.
Above all else, Bonnie cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds and was the driving force behind her every endeavor. She poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding each of them, ensuring they always felt her unconditional love and support.
She is survived by her separated husband, Glenn Holloway and their children, Desirae Holloway and her three children (Ahmya, Aaron, and Aliana Starks); Travis Holloway (Ashley Pierce) with child (Elena Holloway); Desendrae Holloway (Jacob Colvard), with two children, (Kaiden and Makayla Colvard); and Bobbie Holloway (Christopher Eddins), with three children, (Nevaeh Eddins, Brighsen and Makenzie Holloway). She is also survived by four siblings, Terry Green (Loretta Green), Cherl Johns (Joseph Johns), Garry Bryant (Sandy Bryant), Christopher Bryant, and Amanda Bryant. Preceding her death was her Father, Bobby Green; Mother, Martha Cox; youngest son, Dalton and her second born daughter, Desendra.
Bonnie had an exceptional ability to bring joy and warmth to any gathering. Her nurturing spirit created a safe haven for family and friends alike. She possessed an innate talent for uplifting those around her with words of encouragement and love. She always wanted the best for everyone around her. She was hard working, spending the majority of her life serving others and supporting her family.
As we mourn the loss of this incredible woman, let us also celebrate her life. Bonnie’s legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will continue to inspire us in our own journeys. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Services to honor and celebrate the life of Bonnie will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 12 to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 10:30 am also at the Evergreen Funeral Home. Following her services, Bonnie will be laid to rest in the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. We kindly invite all family members, friends, and acquaintances to join us in paying tribute to her remarkable life. All flowers and donations are accepted through her eldest daughter, Desirae Holloway and / or Evergreen Funeral Home.
