Betty and husband, James, were founders of Professional Accounting and Tax Service, established in 1976, currently operating with her business partner and daughter, Jennifer.
Betty was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 50+ years, and consistent contributor to the Crusade for Children, but her true passions in life were her loving family, her husband, her faithful four legged companion, "George", her dedicated, loyal clients and gambling casinos.
She is survived by her daughters, Tamara Melton (Kenneth), Susan Williams, and Jennifer Cecil (Jericho Cook); her surrogate daughter, Regina Pence (Jim); five grandchildren, Sarah Morgan, James Dallas, Weston Allan, Amanda Susan and Priscilla; two great-grandchildren, Bryson Lee and Noah Benjamin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her funeral will be on Wednesday, January 27th, at 9:30 am at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central. Visitation will be on Monday from 3pm until 8pm and Tuesday from 1pm until 8pm.
