Barbara Louise Payne Shroyer

Barbara Louise Shroyer was born on 3/11/40 to Mary Agnita and Samuel E. Payne. She previously worked with the airlines and was a dedicated member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Barbara was a loyal and faithful wife, mother and homemaker. She cared for her husband, Thomas M. Shroyer, until the time of his death in 1994.

Barbara was likewise a devoted grandmother to her only grandchild, Payson Dean Shroyer Grimm, who tragically passed away. Barbara grieved immensely the loss of both her husband and grandson, nevertheless, remained devoted to God throughout her journey of life. In later years, her son, Tom, cared for her full time until her recent passing. Barbara leaves behind, her son Thomas M. Shroyer, Jr., her daughter, Kimberly Shroyer Miller (Anthony), Payson’s fur baby, Kaylie, her sisters, Linda Roman (Bud) and Alice Freville, along with too many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews to count. The love she shared will endure forever.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.
