Andrew Michael Hecht

HECHT, ANDREW MICHAEL "ANDY," passed away Wednesday March 2, 2011. He was born April 23, 1973 in Louisville. Andy was a devoted father, beloved son, admired brother and a great friend to many. His sense of humor, venerable debate skills and his "glass half full" mentality will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Andy graduated from St. Xavier High School and attended the University of Kentucky and Jefferson Community and Technical College. He enjoyed a variety of career pursuits, most recently serving up drinks, laughs and philosophy at Pauly's Schnitzelburg Pub. He is survived by his loving parents, David and Sharon Hecht; his precocious son, Jacob; his brother, Bennie and Tiffany Beamon, his longtime significant other; his grandparents, Robert and Wilma Hecht, Wildwood, FL; and a host of other family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Visitation will be Friday, from 2 -8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy to be made in the form of contributions to a fund for Andy's son, Jacob Alexander Hecht at any PNC Bank branch.
