Alice L. Boyd, 87, returned to her heavenly father on January 02, 2020. She was to the late Nate and Mabel Clark of Pineville, Kentucky. Mrs. Alice left Pineville when she was 30 to move to the big city of Louisville, Kentucky.
Alice was a strong willed woman who was a Kentucky Colonel, organized and very active in the community, which led her to meeting Muhammad Ali, President Barack Obama and even had lunch with Willie Nelson. She won front row seats to his concert and had a personal connection with him, their photo is at Texas Roadhouse for all to see. She was also crowned “The Queen of Heritage Hall” at the Kentucky State fair many years in a row. With her strive for greatness, her pass time was playing solitaire, which is a very strategic game, along with finding peace as she attended Jefferson Hill Old Time Baptist Church and Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
The family will be accepting guests on Tuesday, January 07, 2020 from 4-8pm and again Wednesday, January 08, 2020 from 9-12pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218.
A Celebration of Alice’s Life will be on Wednesday, January 08, 2020 at 12pm at the funeral home with a burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
