Alfred was born on April 11, 1946 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Ernest D. Neal and Iva Katherine Whitaker Neal. He is also preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Sue Neal.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joan Sweasy Neal; children, Denna Ashby (Chester) and Timothy Neal; siblings, Jean Roarx (Pete), Stevie Eddington (Debbie), Judy Hodge (Billy), Carrie Duvall (Mike), Tracy Houchens (John); grandchildren, Justin Ashby and Adam Ashby (Sarah); and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Alfred will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40213, with a service to honor the life of Alfred to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
