Margret Flora Frick transitioned to glory at the age of 97 on November 28, 2018, peacefully in her home in Culver City, CA.
Born in Lahrdinglingen, Germany on January 13, 1921 to Johann and Flora Oestreicher, she was one of two children. Her older brother Hans Oestreicher went to be with the Lord in July 1979. Margret’s husband Erich Frick went to be with God on September 11, 1997. Margret is survived by her oldest son Michael Frick, and youngest son Jeffrey Frick who is married to Nahyoung Deborah Frick, and two granddaughters Anna and Eden Frick.
Margret loved being a mother and Oma (grandmother). She experienced great joy in all her years of motherhood, raising their sons Michael and Jeffrey, and establishing a home full of love and nurture for the entire family. She was well-known by her family and close friends as an amazing seamstress, being able to design and create fabulous dinner party dresses, women suits, children and teen clothing, and sleepwear. Her joy every Christmas was to surprise her children, grandchildren, and husband with wonderfully designed shirts, jackets or pajamas. Home and her love for family touched every facet of family life. She gave her heart and love sacrificially and willingly to make her home a place full of love. Nightly dinners with scrumptious German and American dishes were always a priority in the Frick home. Thursday night was hamburger night, and always a favorite for Michael and Jeffrey, and Margret’s lasagne was well-known by neighbors and the Boy Scout Troop 50. She was also known for creating wonderful theme birthday parties for Michael and Jeffrey when they were children, with mouth-watering and delicious cakes. Her talent in creating and baking cakes extended to her granddaughters Anna and Eden who enjoyed specialty cakes with unique and creative designs. Three candles were always on the cake. One for the past year; one for the present year

 The Prinz and Scira Families would like to offer their condolences.  Margaret was a lovely woman. Kind, polite, thoughtful, and gentle. She had a very warm heart. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult and sad  time of loss.

Our dear Margret, the kindest, most compassionate, thoughtful, caring, loving, trusting, hard-working, endearing, honest, etc., how can I go on? I’ve known her since I was a little girl and always thought of her as my Oma here in America.  We lost a lovely lady, but Heaven gained an angel! Dear Margret, I pray that you and Erich and my Dad are enjoying everlasting life. And I pray that we will also meet again in the Glory of God!
