Walter F. Walters, 81 born June 20, 1929, in Cheswick, Pennsylvania, to Homer Henry and Amelia Forney Walters.
Pappy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, proudly serving his country in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1959.
Pappy married Mary Clark on December 25, 1946 and they had three children, Karen, Robyn, and Bobby. The family moved from Pennsylvania to Texas in 1977.
Walter retired from East TX Mack. Pappy was a member of Gospel Light House in Laird Hill, Texas.
Pappy enjoyed fishing , but most of all he enjoyed his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son; Bobby Walters, and siblings, James Walters, Mary Cressman; Homer C. Walters; John A. Walters; and Florence Pitkavich.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen Stratton, and Robyn Hall; his daughter-in-law, Susan Walters; sisters, Margaret Jones; Amelia Gargon; Patricia Dancerd; and Shirley Ables. As well as numerous nieces, nephew, and other loving family members. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., today, June 30, 2010 at Lakeview Funeral Home with Rev. George Sprull officiating.
