Graveside services Thomas Wallace (Cotton) Brunson will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Elkhart Garden of Memory. Mr. Brunson was born January 16, 1925, to Floyd and Myrtis Brown Brunson, in Elkhart, Texas and passed away July 10, 2017 in Longview, Texas. Cotton was a millwright and retired from Lone Star Steel. He was a U.S. Army veteran, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved talking to friends and family. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James Ailen Brunson. He leaves behind to cherish is memory, his loving wife, Mary Joan Brunson, sons, Roy Wallace Brunson and wife Dorothy, Joe David Brunson, Sr. and wife Sally Ann, and Paul Dean Brunson and wife Belinda, daughter, Mary Clair Corley and husband John Wesley, as well as thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers, Roy Leon Brunson and wife Marie and Bobby Lee Brunson and wife Gail and two sisters, Leila Muriel Rodgers and Elizabeth Bynum and husband Ray.
