Services for Kenneth Von Carrell, Jr. will be at 1:30p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Kilgore, Texas with Rev. Darwood Gallaway officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Chase Carrell, Derrick Sasser, Michael Hall, Cody Hall, Austin Hall, Chris Bullard, Garrett Pirkey, and Jake Matchett. Honorary pallbearer is Jonathan Mosley. Flowers are permitted or memorials may be made in his name to Texas Oncology-Longview Cancer Center 1300 North 4th Street, Longview, TX 75601.
Our beloved Kenny was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 10, 2012 at 11:24 a.m. Kenny passed away at the age of 50, having lived a life filled with love of family and friends, as well as his undeniable faith in his Lord and Savior. Kenneth Von Carrell, Jr. was born on March 14, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to Kenneth Von Carrell, Sr. and Martha Evelyn Carrell. Kenny graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1980. Kenny worked at STEMCO in Longview, TX for 30 years. On December 19, 2010, he finished his college degree at LeTourneau University earning his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree. He was a member of St. Luke’s UMC in Kilgore, Texas. Kenny enjoyed riding horses, football, being a sports commentator for local newspapers, golf, and passionately working in his yard. He was even an Eagle Scout. He was known for his sense of humor, his kindness towards others, and his willingness to help those in need. To know him was to LOVE him, and anyone who had that honor, had their life enriched. He will be greatly missed.
Kenny is survived by his son, Chase Patrick Carrell and his fiancé-Taylar Skolaut and their daughter-Lilah Mae Carrell of White Oak; Sister-Lisa Sasser McDowell of White Oak, her children: Sha Matchett and her husband Jake, Derrick Sasser and his fiancé Meagan Oliver and his children: Brylie Grace Sasser and Brody Lane Sasser and his SWEETHEART: Mary Lynn Bullard of White Oak, and her children: Michael Alan Hall and his fiancé Tawnie Mosley, Austin Gregory Hall, and Cody Ashton Hall and her grandson: Jonathan Mosley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to their extended family-Mom Marilyn and Tommy Dutschmann, James LeRoy Bullard, Cissy Bullard, Betsy Hammack, Brent and Robbin Bullard, Kevin and Pam Myers, Becky Stone, Nicole Hart, and all of our friends at Spring Hill High School and Stemco. His love will forever be cherished along with his love for the DALLAS COWBOYS. GO COWBOYS!!!!
