Charles Wilson Clark, 74 of Longview, passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends on Saturday December 21, 2019. He was born, December 27, 1944 in Tulsa Oklahoma to Wilson Clark and Grace Bagley Smith. Charles attended Rusk High School and was in the class of 1963. He played the Trombone in the Rusk High School Band. Charles married the love of his life, Josephine Lukasheay on November 26, 1966, they were happily married for 53 years. He was a faithful husband, loving father and grand-father. He was a member and elder at New Journey Presbyterian Church on Alpine Road. He was also a member of the Longview Jaycees from 1975 to 1980, receiving several awards and honors during his membership.
Charles and Jo created Char-Jo Construction in 1985 and operated it until their retirement in 2009. He was an avid camper and enjoyed catfishing and playing dominoes with friends. He would often reminisce about going to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and visiting Bar J Ranch.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and step grandson Reno Packard. He is survived by his wife Jo, sisters Mary Sue and husband Dale Minton, Kathy and husband Mark Meng, son Chad and wife Wendy Clark, daughters Trudi and husband Stacy Steen, Lisa and husband Neal Martin, his seven grandchildren Collin, Taylor, Corey, Cade, Sydni, Peyton, Noah and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday December 27, 2019 at 1:00PM at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM officiated by Pastor Gary Schwitz. Honorary Pallbearers Chad Clark, Stacy Steen, Neal Martin, Taylor Clark, Corey Clark and Noah Martin.
