Bill was born to Harold and Anne (Petkoff)Taylor on 5/27/1955.
Bill grew up in Texas and Wyoming before settling in Colorado as a teenager. Bill graduated from Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, CO, in 1973. He went on to Western State College in Gunnison, CO. During his short stay at Western State, he met a few lifelong friends that are still a part of our lives today.
Bill met Cami while she was visiting her aunt and uncle, who happened to live across the street from Bill and his parents. In 1977, Bill and Cami married. They went on to have three daughters, Misha (Greg) Bell of Texas and Shelley and Jess Taylor, both of Longmont.
For many years, Bill worked while going to school to get his engineering degree. Bill was offered a job at the City of Longmont, where he worked as a draftsman, a technician, and eventually a Civil Engineer with the Water/Waste Water department. After 14 years of part-time school and full-time work, Bill received his degree. He went on to work for the City of Longmont for 33 years before retiring in 2020. In 2021, Bill rejoined the City on a part-time basis.
Bill was always fond of Wyoming, where he and Cami bought land. They just recently started building their cabin. Bill enjoyed cars, his Jeep, gardening, hunting, hiking, and supporting his daughters and granddaughters. He will be remembered by his neighbors as the man who sat on his porch daily, watching his grass grow while drinking his beer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Patrick. He is survived by his wife, daughters, four grandchildren (Mackenzie, Tori, Trevor, and Quincee), two great-grandchildren, and three brothers (Bob, Steve, and Tom). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bill fought a long and hard battle with this aggressive cancer. He will be missed.
