Sharon was the beloved daughter of Harvey Dale Barker Sr. and Eileen Elizabeth Ford Barker, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her brothers Richard and Charles. Sharon is lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings: Harvey of Ukiah, California, and Leslie Baugh (Barker) of Chico, California.
Sharon’s life was enriched by her three children: Christopher Sibley of Germantown, Maryland; Lenore Jagerson (Sibley) of Longmont, Colorado; and Patricia Smith (Sibley) of Boise, Idaho. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren—Jessica, Danielle, Kenneth, Zackary, Sarah, Jon, and Alex— and cherished her four great-granddaughters: Madelyn, Banks, Rowen, and Nadia. Sharon is also survived by four Nephews: Matthew, Justin, Andrew, and Kevin, and two Nieces: Christy and Tracy. Sharon had a wonderful extended family through many great-nieces and nephews and friends all over the world.
Sharon's adventurous spirit led her to explore the country, living in diverse locations from the coast of California to the heart of Connecticut, and from Northern California to the vibrant city of Boise, Idaho. She ultimately found her haven in Longmont, Colorado.
Sharon was deeply engaged in politics, approaching it with both insight and balance. She recognized the benefits and challenges within the political parties, bringing thoughtful perspectives to discussions and decisions. She was also a woman of deep faith and unwavering spirituality, finding strength and solace in her belief that the Lord would always provide, even during times of distress. Her steadfast devotion served as a guiding light for herself and those around her.
Sharon earned a master’s degree in English and had a deep passion for the English language and history. Her intellectual curiosity spanned from ancient civilizations to modern times, including a particular fascination with the Middle Ages, the Templars, and monarchies throughout history. Having gained a deep understanding of the world's history, Sharon passed away, leaving behind a legacy of passion and conviction for politics. She was deeply committed to her beliefs and dedicated herself to addressing the challenges of our time. Sharon often expressed thoughtful solutions to the pressing issues of today, wishing for her voice to reach those in a position of influence. Her unwavering dedication and insightful perspectives will be remembered by all who knew her. May her memory inspire others to continue seeking answers and striving for a better future.
Sharon was a deeply spiritual and compassionate individual who found great meaning in her faith. A strong belief in the spiritual world and a fascination with astrology were the first things noticed by everyone who met her. Throughout her life, Sharon demonstrated a deep compassion for others. Her gentle spirit extended to the youngest among us. Sharon would often stop to engage with children she encountered, spreading joy and kindness wherever she went. She dedicated much of her time to supporting underprivileged communities and generously contributed to charities focused on aiding impoverished regions around the world. Her kindness and commitment to making a difference left a lasting impact on many lives. Her life was a testament to the power of empathy and the importance of giving back. Sharon’s unwavering commitment to making a difference touched the lives of many, both near and far.
