Mark David Louden was born on December 4, 1969 in Boulder, Colorado and passed away on September 16, 2015. Mark grew up in Colorado Springs, where he attended Air Academy High School. He attended Colorado State University and graduated with a degree in Journalism. Mark was a writer and storyteller, who used his talents for the Steamboat Pilot as editor, worked for TIC Company in corporate communications and provided project management and web consulting. Mark published Lacrosse Magazine and has published a fiction novel, Brave of the Dark. Mark was a loving father to his boys and enjoyed lacrosse as a player and later as a coach in Steamboat Springs and Boulder. He was passionate for his boys and for all that he did.Mark was in the Air National Guard and was activated during Desert Storm, where he served in Yemen.Mark is survived by his sons Ford (13) and Hayes Louden (11), and by his former wife Harper Louden of Steamboat Springs, mother Joan DeJong (Cliff) of Longmont, father William Louden (Suzette) of Grand Junction, brother Greg Louden (Erin) of Parker, sister Sarah Triplett of Longmont, step brother Scott DeJong (Kim) of Wheat Ridge, step sister Lori Scates (Chad) of Erie, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, September 20, 2015 with visitation 1 hour prior at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Burial at 11:30am, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
