Lorraine Hallgring of Longmont, CO died on June 26, 2020 at the age of 95 surrounded by the love of her family. Lorraine was born Lorraine Adele Goff in New London, CT and was a resident of Union, NJ from early childhood until moving to Colorado to join her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in 2011. She was a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart, Joseph Hallgring, for almost 70 years. Lorraine and Joe were avid travelers, who traveled the world together while raising a close and loving family. When her beloved husband died at the age of 92 after 69 years of marriage, Lorraine lamented not having had enough time to grow old together, which makes one wonder how long she had expected them to live.
A graduate of Kean Collage of New Jersey, Lorraine was a longtime employee of the Union, NJ Board of Education and worked for many years as a Library Sciences teacher in the Union School system.
Lorraine Hallgring is survived by daughter Dawn Henley; daughter Pamela Hallgring; grandson Kyle Henley and wife Crystele; granddaughter Kimberly and husband Jason Malito; great-grandchildren Lia Malito, Ronin Malito and Sage Henley; great-grandpuppies Cisco and Pancho; and an extensive list of important friends and extended family. We will all miss her dearly.
