Lori Ann Garcia was born on August 6, 1987 in Fresno, California to Joseph and Virginia Garcia. Throughout the next four years the three lived together happily with Lori's older brother, Thomas Montano, until Lori and her parents moved to Antioch, California. For the next two years Lori lived with just her parents until July, 1993, when Lori became an older sister. Lori was a doting older sister to her new baby brother, William, when she wasn't being a smart aleck to her parents. Over the next few years Lori would discover her love of sports, with gymnastics, softball and soccer being the main contenders for her favorite. She would also find that she loved animals by having multiple pets including dogs, cats and birds, although she was definitively a cat person.
Lori, her parents and her brother lived happily until February 11, 2001 when Lori's father, Joe, passed away due to stomach cancer. Her world was turned upside down, and over the next two years Lori and her family were thrown into disarray until they made the decision to move. The family decided they would move to Pueblo, Colorado in order to be closer to Virginia's brother, Joseph "Pum" Manzanares. Here Lori started to attend Centennial High School until she graduated in 2005. After graduating, she decided to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado to study Psychology. She loved being at CSU and was very immersed in the community. She was an avid fan of the school's football team, the Rams, and had a collection of Ram merchandise. It was also here that she met and befriended Angel Gonzales who she would later have a child with. She graduated from CSU in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. After college, Lori moved back to Pueblo to live with her mother and brothers to plan out her future. During this time she began dating Angel who lived in Loveland, Colorado. In 2010 another tragedy struck the family when her older brother, Tommy, suffered a fatal heart attack and passed away. During this time she decided to stay in Pueblo with her mother and younger brother to help in any way she could. Shortly after, the family was changed once more when Lori found out she was pregnant. Nine months later Lori gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Ali Elizabeth Gonzales. After the birth of Ali, Lori moved to Loveland, Colorado to live with Angel to raise their daughter. For five and a half years Lori lived in Loveland, and although she had trials and tribulations she was happy with her little family until the time of her passing.
