Born August 17, 1945 to Clyde and Dorothy MacArthur, Linda grew up as an only child in St. Albans, Vermont. She graduated from Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington, VT and later studied at Burlington College. While tending bar at The Checkerberry her family's restaurant in nearby Milton Linda met her future husband, Reginald Billado. They were married on December 7, 1968 at Community Lutheran Church in South Burlington. For health reasons, she moved from Vermont to Colorado in 1992. Linda was (and no doubt still is!) a devout Christian. In life, she was a strong advocate of Reformed Theology and an avid student of ancient Jewish religion and culture. She was a valued member of Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Johnstown. Her work life was varied as she pursued many vocations, including that of bartender, dental assistant, receptionist, and the founder and President of Vermont Seals--a mechanical seals manufactory.Linda enjoyed all manner of crafts, especially knitting and cross-stitch, and was very much into crossword puzzles. She was also a cat-lover who valued the companionship of a single feline in her home. Linda could always be found sitting on her front porch, regardless of the season, socializing with any and all passers-by. This was, in fact, how she met some of her closest friends. She is survived by her ex-husband and best friend, Reg Billado of Sumner, ME; her daughter Tracey of Bayonne, NJ; her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Robin Billado, of Berthoud, CO; and her grandchildren Nate and Josie Billado (also of Berthoud).A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 16, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, CO. Linda would have wanted any contributions in memoriam or in lieu of flowers to go to Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Johnstown, CO, or to the Arthritis National Research Foundation, or to Compassion International (in accordance with the donor's conscience).
