Our beloved Tracy Karen Cunningham peacefully transitioned home at age 56 on Sunday, March 6th, 2016 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones.Karen was born in Richmond, Virginia on December 22, 1959. She was the third of four children to Edson Harold Cunningham, Sr. and Mildred Morton Cunningham. She grew up in Manassas, Virginia where she completed high school at Stonewall Jackson in 1977 and graduated with honors at George Mason University with a BS in Decision Sciences. She lived and played in Longmont, Colorado for the last 8 years. Prior to that she resided in Mt. Dora, Florida, Memphis, TN, Kauai, HI, Kingsville, TX and Virginia Beach, VA.Karen is survived by her Mother, Mildred Morton Cunningham of Longmont, CO, her sister, LeighAnn Moore of Longmont, CO, four Nephews, one Niece and one Great Grand Niece: Mark Alan Cunningham, Jr., Matthew Ray Cunningham, Michael Paul Cunningham, Mark LaRue Moore, Elizabeth Caroline Cunningham and Caroline Rose Cunningham, respectively and her ex-husband, partner and friend, Richard Charay. She is preceded in death by her Father, Edson Harold Cunningham, Jr. in 2005, and her two brothers, Edson Harold Cunningham, III in 1982 and Mark Alan Cunningham, Sr. in 2001.Karen had created a successful life for herself. She was the CEO of Elan Energetics, a light energy therapy company based in Longmont, CO. She also simultaneously managed a successful Shaklee business, the number one natural nutrition company in the United States, that she began almost three decades ago. She was the President of the Freedom Foundation, Inc., a powerful community that specializes in supporting the young and old in accessing the art of communication for the purpose of creating an EXTRAordinary life experience. Karen's commitment was to support, empower, and help others achieve their personal and health goals and to excel beyond barriers they thought not possible to cross. Karen was focused on having her life work as well as everyone else she had a connection with. She touched and CHANGED so many people's lives across the United States and in Mexico! When she wasn't giving back to others, she was playing outdoors. She loved Colorado and Hawaii the most! Her pleasures were hiking, biking, sightseeing, traveling, paddle boarding, playing board games and cards, reading, sharing good times with her friends and being with her beloved Scooter dog.She supported many charitable organizations while here and continues to support many charities after her passing.Karen had a big heart, a beautiful smile and outrageous chocolate drop eyes. Hence her love for indulging in chocolate! Karen made her mark in the world on so many and will be remembered and honored by her friends and family as an exceptional role model for us to behold.
