On November 28, 2021, Marie Baker slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings.
Born into a humble Childress, Texas family on March 30, 1928, Marie was raised with the pioneer spirit of hard work and independence. She lived uniquely and unapologetically by her own rules, squeezing everything she could from every single day. Marie was blessed in life with 11 siblings, 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
If love alone can guarantee a place in heaven then Marie is assuredly there. We will miss you mom.
Visitation hours for family and friends will be 10am until 12pm, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman Street in Longmont. A graveside service will follow at 1pm at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, Colorado.
