Doris J. Fry

Doris June Fry, of Windsor, Colorado, died Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at the Windsor Healthcare Center.Doris was born on March 4, 1934 in Carnegie Oklahoma to Clarence and Alta (Buchanan) Ray. Doris spent her childhood in Wasola, Missouri and attended school in Almartha, Missouri. She married David S. Fry in 1949, and shortly after, moved to Kansas. She then moved to Colorado in 1961. Doris later divorced and was married to John Wilson Fry until his death in 2008.Doris was a homemaker for many years and then went to work for Colorado University in Boulder. She enjoyed the warm Colorado sun and hiking the many trails in Colorado. She also liked listening to country music, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was baptized at the Church of Christ in Cheyenne, Wyoming.Doris was preceded in death by her daughters, Sandra Faye Fry and Sherry Lawrence; and her two brothers, John Edward Ray and Earl Ray.She is survived by her children, Kirk D. Fry and his wife Denise of Firestone, CO, Ken D. Fry and his wife Ruth of Westminster, CO, Cindy D. Smith and her husband Brian of Buhl, ID, Debbie F. Reynoldson and her husband Slaton of Severence, CO; her stepchildren, Bonnie Bruntz and her husband Larry of Longmont, CO, Larry Fry of Longmont, CO, Sandy Brewer and her husband Kevin of Platteville, CO; four brothers, Carl Ray of Wasola MO, Glenn Ray of Ava, MO, Mark Ray of Wasola, MO, and Lee Ray of Wasola MO; four sisters, Wanda Lawrence of Seymour, MO, Reba Easter of Olathe, KS, Lena Wagner of Ava, MO, and Mary Blacksher of Rogersville, MO; nine grandchildren, Blake, Cody, Colten, Corina, Julie, Justin, Lindsay, Sarah and Tezra; and three great-grandchildren, Barrett, Chl and Gavin.Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
