I lost my wonderful wife Donna on August 12, 2021 after over 58 years of marriage, the saddest day of my life. She was a teen aged bride having just turned 19 two days before our wedding and gave birth at age 20 and very quickly turned into the most loving, caring faithful wife and mother a man could ever want. She devoted her life to me, two wonderful children and four grandchildren. She was overly generous, almost to a fault at times, just another reason to love her so much. We have lived in the same house our entire married life so lots and lots of memories. She had five major things wrong and nobody would or couldn't operate. She has been in massive pain for the last eight years, unable to walk or even stand and very rarely ever complained. Her mind was still very sharp to the end, her body just gave out. You are now pain free so go frolic in the heavens my angel, we shall meet again.
Donna Diane Stratton was born, in Longmont, CO, on a very cold snowy January 3,
1944 to Donald J. Tobin and Clara Hill Tobin and passed away on a beautiful sunny August 12, 2021. She was a 1961 graduate of Longmont High. Although Donna had a couple different careers in her life, the one she was most proud of was managing Bowliana Lanes in the 70's. She loved mentoring and working with so many kids that became lifelong friends. She is survived by her husband of over 58 years Lyle, two wonderful children, son Dean (Shawna) and daughter Dawn Thompson (Danny) who has been our rock for the last ten years. Two wonderful very loving and caring grandsons, Nick Stacy of Missouri and Mitch Stacy of Broomfield, CO, two granddaughters Jessica Underwood (Ian) of Las Vegas, NV, Haleigh Hughes (Logan) of Loveland CO, brother Don Tobin (Vickie), four brother in laws and their wives who have always been there for us, Don (Sharon), Gary (Sharron), Sonny (Carol Ann), Dick (Carol), the best lifelong friends anyone could ever hope for, Tiny and Otto Ahlgrim, brother in law Jim Hamilton, several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Janice Hamilton, sister Joy Florian and many lifelong child hood friends.
