Christopher Lee Nelson, of Firestone, died August 14, 2011. He was 28 years old.He was born on July 12, 1983 in Brighton, Colorado, the son of Harvey George and Laurie (Mott) Nelson. Christopher was raised in the Firestone and Longmont areas and he attended Skyline High School.Christopher was a welder in the oil field industry. He was of the Lutheran faith. Christopher will be remembered for working hard and playing hard. He loved farming and rodeos.He was preceded in death by his father.Christopher is survived by his son, Christopher Lee Nelson, Jr.; his daughter, Savannaha Ann Nelson; his mother, Laurie Nelson of Firestone; his brother, Dustin Nelson; his sister, Kathy Nelson and his stepfather, Dave Wagy.A visitation will be held from 6:00 “ 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment at Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville.
