I have known Char for 40 plus years I worked with her at the Moose lodge helpinfg with friday nite dinners and more recently we would go out for dinner or breakfast.  She  has left a big hole in my heart Rest in Peace my friend 

My sincere condolences to the family of Char.  I have fond memories of working  with Char at the Longmont Moose Lodge when she ran Friday Night Dinners.  She often spoke about how proud she was of her kids. She will be greatly missed.

Char was a blessing to our family. She and my son Jacob had a special bond. She loved when he would sing the National Anthem at basketball games because he did it right (no extra high note near the end on “land of the free”). She would give him a hug after the game and tell him what a beautiful job he did. After he graduated Jacob came back to Longmont High for a couple of “command performances” in honor of Char. She was so happy to see him sing. Well done good and faithful servant! We will see you again some day! Much love!

Please accept our prayers and our love as you mourn the loss of your wonderful mother. She was larger than life! Char was so very special to all of us at First Lutheran Church. Her memory will live forever in our hearts.

Dear Jeff, Sherry and Gary (And all your Families),

Char was such a neat lady. I have enjoyed getting to know her since way back at First Lutheran while in high school!  What a cook, too! She stayed so active and involved as much as possible throughout the years, which was sure inspirational.
You are in our thoughts and prayers and we look forward  to seeing you on the 25th as we celebrate her long and full life.

My husband and I moved to Colorado in the late 70’s after he was hired by Storage Tech, where he and Char became coworkers and friends. Fast forward to the mid 80’s, Char had left employment at STC, but a chance encounter with Char and Del in a grocery store led to the best blessing we could ever imagined. Being so far away from our own families, Char and Del embraced our growing family and basically adopted us into their family. From help with childcare, to family dinners to holiday gatherings they included us in every way. My kids referred to Char and Del as their Colorado grandparents. With Char’s passing, they have now lost their grandparent. I would be remiss in mentioning how we loved Char’s cooking, boy did she love to cook and we loved her food. Even if we weren’t visiting her for a meal, she could always pull out a full buffet, feed us and send us home with a plate (or 10) of food! I want to thank Jeff, Sheri and Gary for sharing their parents with us, you graciously tolerated the craziness our family sometimes brought to your family gatherings. We love you all, I can’t imagine our time in Colorado without you and your parents in our lives.

I'm saddened by the loss of Char to the family and community.  She was a co-worker at the University and was very friendly and helpful.  It was because of her that a group of us stayed in touch with gatherings in her home including a delicious meal.

She is, and will continue to be, missed.

Char was one of my favorite people at Saturday night church. She was such a kind and thoughtful friend to my grandma, Ruth Anderson. When my husband and I were married she even volunteered to help with our reception. Her kindness and love will always be remembered.
