Carolynn Joyce Richardson Comstock, 78 passed away peacefully on July 27th, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends. Carolynn was born in Ottawa Kansas on March 1, 1941 to Elmer and Bulah Richardson.
At the time Elmer was stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma with the United States Army. When Elmer returned from WW II the family moved to Ft. Scott Kansas. Carolynn’s early years were spent there and she had many fond memories of friends and family from this time. Carolynn graduated from Fort Scott High School with the class of 1959. She was a cheerleader and a leader on the debate team. She had many lifelong friends from her school days. Carolynn married Harry Robert Comstock December 21, 1961. They raised two children, Jeffery Wayne Comstock and Stacey LaMae Comstock and made a family life that included moving to Colorado and Missouri for Harry’s job. Through it all she was a devoted wife and mother. During her time in Gypsum Kansas she worked at the local bank and then became the Southeast of Saline Business Manager. After moving to Midway Missouri she worked as a Director for the Boone County Council on Aging and also obtained her real estate license.
Carolynn was proceeded in death by her son Jeffery Wayne Comstock, brother James Richardson, sister Dorothy Nichols and sister LaMae Mock. Carolynn is survived by her husband of 58 years, daughter Stacey Seeburger, grandsons Jeffery and Brett Seeburger and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on August 8, 2019 1:00pm at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont Colorado.
