Carol Ann Garzone, born on 5 July 1956, joined her Heavenly Father and Eternal Savior on 10 November 2024 while surrounded by her family at home in Niwot, Colorado. Carol was born in Mobridge, South Dakota to Norman and Alvena Vojta where she, her brother Douglas, sister Kathy, and sister Lynette lived their early childhood years before moving to Boulder, Colorado in the Fall of 1961. Carol graduated from Boulder High School in 1975 and became a skilled Bookkeeper starting with Action Electric in Boulder where she first met her husband, Gary Garzone in 1975 and they married in 1982 after several years of dating. Carol was adored and loved by all, being an incredibly friendly and light-hearted individual who enjoyed taking care of others and their needs. She was family-first always and was the epitome of service-to-family.
Carol would manage bookkeeping operations for both her Father and Brother’s plumbing business, Norm’s Plumbing & Heating, and her husband’s electrical business, Garzone Electric, for many years. Carol ultimately loved being around and caring for her family. All three siblings would reside merely miles apart, living a close-knit lifestyle where Carol enjoyed regular visits and family get-togethers with her parents, siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She also loved to cook and trying new recipes, bringing family together for countless occasions and shared laughs. Carol’s personal life was filled with care and love for her husband Gary and son Vincent, where she enjoyed the day-to-day life as a loving wife and mother. They often took trips across Colorado and beyond for stargazing parties and family trips, and as the family grew older, she ultimately enjoyed spending time with her son’s family and grandson Patrick. Carol truly loved everyone and touched the lives of many through her tremendously caring heart, enjoyable laugh, and ability to bring people together over a shared meal or happy hour occasion. As a devout Lutheran centered around prayer, she selflessly put others ahead of herself throughout her life in order to make sure they were well taken care of or spiritually supported. Carol will be missed tremendously by all knew her, but remembered throughout friend and family circles as the mom and friend who cared for and loved them unconditionally.
Carol is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gary Garzone; her son Vincent Garzone and daughter-in-law Kristen Garzone; her grandson Patrick Garzone; her three siblings Douglas Vojta, Kathy Moore, and Lynette Carter; and her many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alvena Vojta; and father Norman Vojta.
