Bernice moved to this area in 1970 and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her strong faith. In her free time Bernice enjoyed cooking, gardening, cleaning and simply being outside.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eliseo Romero, her brother Fred Martinez and his wife Grace, her sister Nativadad Martinez and her brother in law Vincent Duran.
Surviving are her sons Nelson (Sandy) Romero of Longmont, Richard, Albert and Jerry (Chi) Romero of Firestone, CO. She is further survived by brothers Max (Nita) Martinez and Leonard (Anna) Martinez of Longmont, Leo (Angie) Martinez of Platteville, brother in law Tony Martinez and sisters Emma Duran of Thornton, Helen Vaca of Longmont and Mary (Manuel) Ruiz of Brighton, CO, 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm followed by Rosary Prayers at 7:00 pm, both at the Howe Mortuary in Longmont. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 18 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery
