Pete Gomez, 72, of Longmont, passed away on April 26, 2018 at his home.
Pete was born January 28, 1946, to Tony and Della Gomez in Pueblo, Colorado. After graduating from Walsenburg High School, he enlisted in the Navy from 1965 – 1969. While in the Navy, he married his high school sweetheart, Ellen Vigil. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2016.
Pete is survived by his wife, Ellen (Vigil) Gomez, daughter Lorri Vandiver (Jeff), and son Dean Gomez, plus four grandchildren (all of Longmont, Colorado) and one brother from Rochester, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
He was passionate about airplanes, spending time at Beaver Lake, watching his grandchildren play sports, and sitting in the sun having a cold one. His humor and kindness will be missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the American Legion, Post 32,315 S. Bowen Street, Longmont, Colorado.
