Kim Leslie Taylor Jr., affectionately known as KT, was born to Kim Taylor, Sr. and Phyllis Crayton on July 10, 1986 in Los Angeles, California. KT was the oldest of 3 children. He grew up in Union City, California where he was raised by parents Kim and Lisa Taylor. He was educated in the New Haven Unified School District where he attended Cabello Elementary, Alvarado Middle and James Logan High Schools. As a child KT loved to play sports! He enjoyed baseball, but harnessed his talents as a wide receiver playing Pop-Warner football. KT went on to play high school Junior Varsity and Varsity football. After graduating High School, KT returned to Los Angeles to spend more time with his biological mother, Phyllis Crayton. He soon found employment at LAX Airport and promoting for COD Entertainment. His natural talents in music and dance quickly drove KT to follow his artistic passion and he enjoyed a 6 year run as a performer in the entertainment industry. He became well known during this time for being flashy and well dressed! He took great delight in sharing his talents with the world, often referring to himself as "Taylor-Made". While his stage presence was vibrant and colorful, KT was surprisingly quiet and shy. He held to a close group of friends who he engaged with deeply. On October 28, 2011 KT’s life changed forever when then girlfriend Reseda Cox gave birth to their beautiful baby girl, Kaydence London Taylor. KT lived for Kaydence! He adored her and she adored him. KT couldn’t stop talking about Kaydence and he devoted his every waking moment to being a loving and dedicated father. In 2015, KT was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy, a hereditary condition. He battled the illness for just over 2 years, pushing hard to survive for those he loved. On March 9, 2017 at the age of 30, the bout ended and Kim Leslie Taylor Jr was called to take his place among the angels in heaven. KT leaves behind to cherish his memory: his only child Kaydence London Taylor, parents Kim Sr. and Lisa Taylor, mother Phyllis Crayton, two sisters Kaila Taylor and Jasmyn Taylor, Grandmothers Myrtle Crayton and Louise Washington, girlfriend Arlene Concepcion and her children Farah Guillory and Jahking Guillory and a host of beloved friends and family.
