Jordan High School in Long Beach, CA.

John worked as an Installation/ Repair Field Technician for Verizon for 44 years and enjoyed spending countless hours

with friends on Main St in Seal Beach, CA following his retirement. He was a proud member of his local Union, CWA Local

9586, Former Vice President & Union Representative, avid supporter of labor and other local unions and organizations,

and proud fan of Notre Dame College and San Francisco 49ers.

John is survived by his mother, Dorothy D Ellis, daughter, Kimberly Gomez, son, Sean Ellis, granddaughters, Karissa Leilani Gomez, Taylor Kalani Ellis and baby Gomez, grandson, Moses Santiago Gomez JR, brother, Jerome Ellis, Sister-in-law, Nancy Ellis, Son-in-law, Moses Gomez SR,

Daughter-in-law, Kori Ellis, and several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his father, John F Ellis, grandparents, James and Margaret Cummings, and several aunts and uncles.
