Daddy I am missing you so much today I think when the family gets together I feel your loss even more acutely.  I was reading back through the entries in this guest book and was so touched by the way you touched peoples lives even those who didn't know you.  You were a remarkable man Daddy of mine.  I am so proud to be your daughter and you will always be carried closely in my heart.  I love you

Yes I am thinking about you John and the family. I think about the good times at your house, I think about the bad times when you became angry. I think about your smile and how you touched everyones hearts. I was not related in blood but when you would tell me I was your adopted daugther I felt a big part of the you. I miss you John. I miss the family. Where you are I know you are in peace. You will always be in my heart and thoughts.

my heart n prayers goes out to the entire family of mr.d. taking care of mr d for over one yr,living with him,spending most of the time with him was fun......not having him around anymore is so difficult....il miss his company,taking him for walks,for drives,sitting in the patio and many more.he was a great man n he will live in our hearts for ever.RIP mr d

Deepest condolences to the Dedola's family for lost a great man: John Dedola.
John is one of most impressive person in my life time. I still remembered that when I just hired by Dedola at begnning my immigration to USA, my poor English language, office skill made my life was so miserable, but John was so kind to find out my bright part and encorage me and gave me strenth, treat me like family member. He was one of shinning lights helping me to pass through my struggling and dark time.  His kindness, encorage, and ability to found out people's best part even though they were in bad position warmed me and lots of people's heart.  He is part of my fundation to build my life in my new country.  Thank you: John.
Your legacy will be carried on by your family, by all of us!  Miss you!  You still be with us and in my heart forever!

John you came into my life when I was 21 years old, I didn’t know at that time how much you would change my life.  When all the chips were down for me you showed me a way to recover. You gave me new direction and hope in the future. You would never say this to my face but you showed faith and confidence in me and shared your success. You showed me how to be successful.

You were not only my step father, during my initial years in America you became one of my first friends.  You took me fishing, memories that I treasure and recall with a smile.  We would wake up before dawn, sometimes seeing the small hours of the morning, going out on an adventure on the ocean. Never knowing what the day may bring.  The moment of calm as you take in the morning air, the stillness before dawn added to the drama.  We had so much fun out on “The Lady Bee”. You showed me how to fish on the ocean.    We would go through the tackle box rigging the fishing lines up.  I would be helping you and you would be coaching me, as a father would taking his son fishing.  What bait to use and where to tie the line, I would also tie your line too.  Then we would try our luck and if we didn’t get any bites, you would have a cigarette and then say, like as if the gods had spoken to you “let’s try elsewhere” and off we would go pulling up anchor.  I recall the excitement of catching a blue shark, as big as me. How you helped and yes laughed at my innocence as I wanted to pull the live shark on board the deck.  They were fun times.

I remember the first car you helped me buy; it was a classic 1968 Plymouth Fury.  What a boat that car was, but you introduced me to the American Automobile in a big way! And then I think about the classic cars you would drive and you would let me have fun driving them, too; your 1966 Classic T Bird.  I didn’t know at the time but you really had fun with this. You loved the idea of restoring these works of art.

I recall the first sales call you took me on, it was in Santa Monica.  The gentleman we were visiting was importing shoes from Italy.  You told me to “watch”, “listen and learn”.  I did, your smile and charm have stayed with me.

I always enjoyed sharing a glass of wine with you and remember how dangerous your home brew could be.  Once at a family BBQ unknowingly I was stung to the point of passing out at its potency.  Waking up listening to Christina as she laughed at my misfortunate state of being. I never drank your home brew after that again but it was delicious. How you would laugh because I validated that potency factor!

John I admired your strength, command of authority and leadership.  You were and are an inspiration to me.  I will endeavor to live by the high standards you set.

May you now rest in peace and may the fond memories comfort your love ones.

I would like extend my deepest sympathy to the entire Dedola family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I am so sorry for your loss.

I had a chance to see Mr. John Dedola several times when he came to the office for pot luck occasions.  Although I did not have the honor to talk to him in person, I believe he was a very ambitious, intellectual, and kind man through people’s perception of him.  

As an immigrant, I totally understand the difficulty and obstacles how to adhere a new life in a new country when everything is different to you from language to culture.  Sitting here in the office and looking at things with the company name “Dedola Global Logistics”, I started to admire him secretly in my mind knowing that he is the founder of this company.  Needless to say, I could imagine that he must have been a very hard working man, smart, overcame endurance, and always strived for success.  

Therefore, he has a great influence in my life.  America is the promise land, and our dreams can come true if we do not give up, continue being optimistic, work hard, and endeavor to achieve our goals.  

Mr. John Dedola, although you are not here with us in this world anymore, your legacy is always honored and your image is not forgetful as you are remembered in my daily prayer.  May you rest in peace.

It is so sad to lose special people who have impacted our lives.  I have the fondest memories of long and interesting conversations with John, or as most of us called him...Mr. D.  He would come to my desk, sit in the window seat and we discussed everything from family and work to politics and religion.  I loved the stories of his childhood days growing up in Sardenia and have him to thank for introducing me to the benefits of eating figs.   I enjoyed the laughter and ribbing that we shared and his many witty remarks.  

John wanted only the best for his lady Gillian, and his daughters Maria and Christina and he took great pride in his sons Marc and Stephen and his stepson, Nigel.  His face lit up at the mention of his grandchildren and he treated all of us at work as family.  He was a dear man, and a good and gracious friend. I am blessed that our paths crossed.

To the family, may you find comfort and strength in each other during this time and carry on the legacy of family which was so important to John.  You are all in my prayers.  God bless.

Every time I think of our loss and I am sad, I see your sweet smile and feel comforted.  You created a beautiful family and I am privileged and grateful for knowing them.  The legacy you left behind, your company, a great place to be employed at.

It is with great sadness to hear that Mr John Dedola passed away.  I know how you all feel.  I've lost my Dad too.  Mr John Dedola was a very nice man.  I've first met him back in 70's.  I worked with him then and with his friend, Mr Enrico Salvo.  All of us will miss Mr John Dedola but we know also that Mr John Dedola is at peace now and with our Lord. How can I express in words what is in my heart.  I will miss my Dad every day and I will honor his memory always.  I am happy that he is free from the confusion that was with him at the end of his life but I will miss the force of nature that I grew up with and the sweet loving heart that was with him until the end.
