

August 18, 1936 – April 19, 2025
On April 19, 2025 Reginald George Withers was called to be with The Lord in his 89th year.
Reg was born in Birmingham England to Frederick and Edith Withers. Brother to Don and Jean. Reg served for 9 years in the Canadian Army from 1954 to 1963. Raising his children Allen, Sherley and Debbie. Changing fields of employment he worked at Refrigerator Compressors at Tecumseh Products of Canada for 30 years.
During his time he added 4 more children to love and raise. With open arms he raised Dave, Chris, Kim and Jane.
In 1993 Reg met Muriel Read adding 4 more adult children, Elaine, Lorraine, Avis and Dale. Reg began as a delivery driver for Big V Pharmacies.
Reg loved a large variety of things. His family, Banana Cream pie, Plays, Cats, Beige Pants, Guy Hawkes, Mr. Bean, Monty Python, Jeopardy, Crossword Puzzles, Day trips, Adventures, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Ray Stevens, and Jeff Dunham. Reg loved a situation if he could add “shock value” to make people laugh or startle them.
Reg loved unusual things “worlds smallest 1,000 piece puzzle as an example. He liked one of a kind things and he loved life and people in it. Always smiling.
Reg is survived by his Spouse Muriel Read, Daughter Debbie Hunt (Jeff) of London, Brother Don Withers (Pat) of Brantford, Brother in law Roy Becker of Denver. He was Stepdad to Dave Foster (Anita), Chris Foster (Tracey) Dave Benn and Jane Foster. He was also Stepfather to Elaine Earhart of Aylmer, Lorraine Henry of St. Thomas, Avis Van Amerongen (Wayne) of London and Dale Earhart (Supawan Desawang) of Thailand. Reg was a Son, Father, Stepfather, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great Grandfather to many to list.
He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Edith Withers, Daughter Sherley Eldridge, Son Allen Withers, Sister Jean Becker, Stepdaughter Kim Benn and Stepsons -in- law James Johnson and John Henry.
