It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Louise Landry at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, at the age of 82. Betty was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, in 1942 to her late parents, William and Mildred Lilly. She was predeceased by her siblings, William and Thelma. She is reunited with her beloved husband Laurie, who passed earlier this year in September.
Betty will be deeply missed by her sons Ron (Catherine), Kevin (Carole) and Keith (Trudy). Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Jason, Ashley, Kristian and Megan, as well as her great-grandchildren, Addison, Huntley and Tate. She is also survived by her sisters Mary and Greta, who held a special place in her heart.
Family was everything to Betty, and she loved them deeply. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including playing bingo and knitting, activities that brought her peace and comfort. Betty's caring nature and strong devotion to her loved ones will be remembered always.
A funeral service to honor Betty's life will be held at Needham’s Funeral Service, 520 Dundas Street, London, ON N6B 1W6, on Saturday, December 21st, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, a half-hour prior to the service. Betty will be laid to rest at Woodhull Cemetery, 309 Gideon Drive, London, ON N6K 4N8.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the London Food Bank in Betty’s memory.
