Thomas and Joan Patterson

After a happy marriage of 70 years, Tom and Joan Patterson left this earth four days apart.

They married in September, 1952 and settled in Livonia. Both of them deeply cherished time with family and could always be counted on to help anyone in need. They were faithful members of Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church for 65 years and served in multiple areas of ministry. Tom grew up in Ohio and spent his adult life in Michigan. He had a long and successful career at Sebro Plastics where he was President for 35 years. He enjoyed bowling at the Detroit Athletic Club, attending Detroit sporting events, and dining at the Huron River Club with Joan. Joan was a lifelong resident of Michigan and was proud to be accepted into the University of Michigan. She never attended but instead chose to marry Tom and raise their two children. She loved baking, playing Bridge with friends, and watching the Wolverines play football. Both of them will be deeply missed by their loved ones.

Tom and Joan are survived by their children Cheryl (Paul) and Ken; granddaughters Michelle (David) and Melissa (Chelsea); and great grandchildren Hannah, Mark, and Elliott.

The family welcomes you to remember Tom and Joan at their memorial on May 13, 2023 at 11am at Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church in Livonia. Donations may be sent there in lieu of flowers.
