Sam Coppola

Sam was the loving husband of Velma for 57 years. Cherished father of Andrew (Laura), Michele (Robert) Darket, Michael (Robin), Richard (Paige) and Robert (Lori). Dear grandfather of Audrey, Michael Garvett, Rachel, Angela Darket, R. Anthony (Shannon) Darket, D. Austin Darket, Kristi (Bill) Frisk, Kenneth, Daniel, Sarah (Ryan) Jewell, Andrew and Samuel. Dear brother of Rose Hibsky. Brother in law of Esther Gabbana and Deanna Gabbana. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sam's family will receive friends on Sunday October 21, 2012 from 3-9 pm with a prayer service held at 7 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.

He will lie in state on Monday October 22, 2012 from 10 am until the time of his Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Henry Rebello, at 10:30 am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 11441 Hubbard St (on the corner of Hubbard and Plymouth Rd) in Livonia. In honor of Sam's honorable service in WWII there will be military honors held at the church at the conclusion of Mass on Monday.

He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
