Ronald J. Wilhelm

Ronald J. Wilhelm, age 73, of Livonia; passed away peacefully with his family with him on December 31, 2012. Ron Retired from Wayne County Road Commission after 32 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Livonia Elks. He dedicated himself to family and friends and helped the community, giving to many charities. Ron was an avid sports fan, loved to read, and spending time outdoors. Dear father of Therese (Keith) Palmer, Donna (Don) Thiemann, Janet (Cliff) Berger, John Wilhelm; grandfather of Scott, Lynn (Bradly), Trisha, Renee’, Rebecca, Chloe, Sean, Ross; great-grandfather of Mason; caring brother Carol (Hank) Filipowski; uncle of Mike and Jim; former husband of Gail Wilhelm-Liles and Darlin Wilhelm. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 29015 Jamison, Livonia, Michigan 48154. Ron will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. Memorial donations will be available at the funeral home for Angela Hospice.
