Mary Ann was the loving mother of Kelvin (Estelle), Gerald (Rita), Gerard and Barry (Amy), grandmother of Paul (Nicole), Michael, Luke, Danielle, Joseph, Kendra (Moose) and Michael and great grandmother of Aidan, Natalie, Graham and Joseph. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Kathleen (Vince) Brown and Margaret (John) Mojek living in the Detroit area. Mary Ann was preceeded in death by her parents Donald and Catherine MacMaster, 5 siblings and husband Paul.
Mary Ann enjoyed family and friends, she was full of life and late in life thoroughly enjoyed bingo and crafting. She was still learning to play auction and cribbage. She had her own unique fashion sense, emphasized with pink and glitter. She had a tendancy to brighten a room, bring joy to those around her and overcome all obstacles that stood in her path. She helped others see the sunshine in the rain.
Mary Ann was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. She lived all of her adult life in Detroit, MI. She worked in some fine West side lounges and restaurants. She enjoyed serving people, loved music and dance.
Visitation for Mary Ann will take place at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. Livonia, MI on Tues, May 28 from 3-8pm with a celebration service at 7pm. Mass will take place at St. Kenneth Catholic Church,14951 N Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI on Wed. May 29 at 10 AM, In state at 9:30. Procession will go to Holy Seplechre Cemetery in Southfield.
