Lucile M. Moan

Lucile M. Moan, age 90 of Livonia, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. She was born in Monarch PA, on April 25, 1932 to Joseph and Mary Wardzella. She is survived by her 4 children, Linda Moan, Paula (Ken) Gradall, David Moan & Kathleen (David) Smith. Six grand children, Hannah (Vincent) Kang, Benjamin Pekarski, James Pekarski, Richard Smith, Justin Smith & Aaron Smith and 2 great grandchildren, Finley and Lucy Kang.

Lucile was preceded in death by her husband Richard Moan, and siblings Joseph Wardzella, Dorothy Homer, Jean Wardzella and Elmer Wardzella.

Lucile loved entertaining, especially hosting big pool parties, traveling with friends, and Broadway musicals. She graduated from St. Anthony’s High School. She enjoyed many great years working at the Masonic Temple in Detroit. Lucile loved being a ‘grandma’ and being nicknamed ‘Cock-koo’ by grandson Richard because of her Cuckoo Clock. She was generous with her time and resources and always available to help when she could. Lucile was happily married to her husband Richard for 44 years, in her later years she became actively involved in New Dawn for widows and in the Livonia Travel Club. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation for Lucile with be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 4-8 pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home on 6 mile road in Livonia. The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, April 22, at 10:00 am at St. Colette Catholic Church, in Livonia.
