Keith Gerard Turner, born October 16, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan, peacefully passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 56. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Turner, brother Scott Turner, and niece Stephanie.
Keith is survived by his mother Sharon, stepchildren Ben and Lexie, and his siblings Karen (Mike) Collareno, Diane Reed, Mark (Fabry) Turner, Steven (Laurie) Turner, and John (Becky) Turner. He was a beloved uncle to Amanda, Corey, Michael, Jonathan, Danielle, Steven, Olivia, Sam, Steven, David, James, Austin, Francesco, and Filippo, and a great uncle to Maddie, Henry, Charlotte, Sofia, and Stevie.
Keith graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia and proudly served as a Veteran of the Air Force National Guard from 2002 until 2016, including a tour of duty in the Middle East. After his military service, Keith found a second family among his coworkers at Kalitta Maintenance. He was known for his dedication and camaraderie in the workplace. An avid sports enthusiast, Keith passionately supported the Michigan Wolverines and Detroit teams throughout his life. He cherished his beloved dog, Cosmo, and had a special bond with his nieces and nephews. Keith's kind and generous spirit touched the lives of many, particularly through his mentorship of young people, sharing his life experiences and offering guidance.
Keith will be remembered as a kind soul with a heart of gold who brought joy to those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 4-8pm, with a scripture service at 7pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10am (in state at 9:30am) at St. Kenneth Catholic Church in Plymouth. Memorial donations in Keith's honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
