Jennifer Lynn Mason-Cleaver, 51, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Jennifer was born on May 28, 1968 in Rockville, New York to William E. and Elizabeth L. Mason. Elizabeth Mason passed when Jennifer was only nine years old. The family moved several times and Jennifer considered Dayton, OH her home.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, William, of twenty-four years; son, Alex William (Savanna Beaudet); daughter, Holly Elizabeth; sister, Kerry Rivas; step-brother, Alan Hawkins; step-mother, Jean Mason, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Sue Cleaver; brothers-in-law, Tim and Christine Cleaver and Ryan and Stephanie Cleaver. Also survived by nieces, Katie and Maya; nephews, Austin, Jamison, Jacob, and Nathan.
She attended University of Dayton and received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Kokomo. On April 1, 1995, Jennifer married her soul mate William. Jennifer taught in pre-schools in the Livonia area and was currently employed by Livonia Public Schools. Her love of children is what made her so engaging and successful. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always had a phone in her hand to capture a picture of the moment. Her heart was her children and she was their biggest fan. Volunteering as a "team Mom" for both ice hockey and Pom Pon, and she was also a Girl Scout Troop leader for her Hollys troop. She had lots of social affiliations and groups, most enjoyably her Book Clubs and Bunco. Jennifer loved travel, camping, day adventures, but her “happy place” was the sand bar at Lake Missaukee, Lake City, MI.
Visitation will be on Saturday - January 4, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. On Sunday, January 5, 2020 the visitation continues from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at Noon.
