Hugh Thomas Hines

Beloved husband of Sheena for 11 happy years. Loving step father of Kimberly (Jeffrey) Otterstetter, Kristina Repp and Jacqueline Repp. Cherished grandpa of Matthew (Amanda) Harris, Ryan Harris, Madison Otterstetter, Peyton Otterstetter, Gavin Otterstetter and Nicholas Repp. Dear brother of Patricia Pavia, Mary Beth (Larry) Walsh, Kathryn (Jim) Trice and the late Marilyn Laurain. Dear uncle of the late Colleen Walsh Rochowiak, Maureen Walsh Castiglione, Kathleen Walsh Trantham, Michael McKahan, Michael Trice, David Trice, James Laurain, Terry Laurain, Pierre Laurain, Tracy Laurain, and many grand nieces and nephews.

Hugh was raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania and attended St. Anne's grade school and high school. Upon graduation, he relocated with his family to Detroit, Michigan and began his career in the food industry. In 1957, Hugh married his first wife, Elizabeth and they spent 52 wonderful years together until her passing. He successfully started his own company in the food brokerage industry for many years until his retirement. Hugh will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to family and friends. His perfect day would be spent walking on the beach.

A Memorial Gathering for Hugh will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, Livonia.
