Frank E. Angileri, age 98, of Livonia, Michigan passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Frank was born January 29, 1926, in Marsala, Sicily, to parents Guiseppe and Maria. Beloved husband of 65 years of the late Bessie. He was also preceded in death by sisters Bettina and Ninetta.
Frank immigrated to the United States in 1950, following his marriage to Bessie in Marsala in late 1949. He became a citizen shortly after and spent his life in the Metro Detroit area. After short periods at Sanders and Chrysler, Frank spent his career at Ford Motor Company, spending over 34 years as a Quality Engineer. Upon his retirement, Frank also had his own consulting company for 18 years. Two of his biggest passions in life were education and quality. He established the Angileri Quality Institute at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan, where a yearly symposium is held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be directed to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 17, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152. An in state will be held Friday, October 18, from 10:00am-10:30am at St Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48152, followed by a funeral mass beginning at 10:30am. He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery.
